freedom

Freedom not only implies the liberty of doing right to urself and others, but also doing wrong to both, Or else its like

“cage Is a cage , even if it were of gold”..

Wat religions, and the various ‘isms’ do is that they give U a domain to be free in, its kinda lame if taken in that sense,

For instance a religion mite not actually want U to be binded to that one particular religion, but people have been makin rituals out of religion for centuries, n hence the pretense and the mis interpretation.

there is one catch, religions and the other ‘isms’ tell you or want you to be like someone or fit in a definition and stuff to qualify, but they never want you to be urself, that is something they are very much against, n in the past any or all kinds of followers have been looked up with so much respect and dignity that its really tough to find a flaw in the same, they say you must be ready to kill others or die for ur beliefs, its so lame and suicidal, but it has been looked up with immense respect and pride, every mother in Punjab would send her elder son to the army, to die for the country, -- What kinda love is this for a child??

Children have been made to believe that dying or killing for ur beliefs is the biggest virtue possible.

I can’t understand how, but I have rarely seen children being told to live for wat they think and know, knowing is dangerous.

And even if its ur belief system why do U seek conformance from others, why do U force others (children and family)to follow U..

A classic example of this was Mahatma Gandhi, he lived his life with satyagraha and all that ( there is a lot of controversy abt that too) , and forced his family to live in the same manner.

Its very ironical, Buddha was not a Buddhist, Jesus was not a Christian n like wise..

Then there is a new bunch of so called ‘intellectually free religious creatures’ they read a variety of scriptures and claim to be religiously broad minded, I mean this is contradicting in a way,

Why do U need support from religions to be broad minded.

Wat is more important, reading a 1000verses everyday and knowing them by heart

OR

Being able to practice a selected few of them throughout your life,

How does one define freedom, as it is we are so dependent intellectually on books, religious , non religious, fiction, etc. etc.

Can there really be something worthy of being called as freedom? Where in no thought is dependent in any form, U dnt say I m sane cuz I follow this and that..

Its like the hindi sayin

“ hamaam mein sabhi nange hain”

or more like th English one

where is your line in the sand ??”
