What is better???

Case 1: a child paints something, its not good, not worth that much of an appreciation,Should the mother be telling the child that its very nice, n U tried very hard n that is what matters, and every1 can’t be a great artist n boasting things like that.

Case 2: Or she should simply tell the child, well tried but U were no where close to the mark, so that the child realizes where he/she stands.

The similar scenario can be considered between 2frens, a couple, etc etc..

The remarks of the Mother wud depend on the age of the child...if the child young, words of ncouragement wud motivate him do better!

But if the child is matured enough..then an honest feedback is a better option.

Moreso...if anything is a first attempt for the person..irrespective of the age..then critisizing him/her on tht..might be a demoralizing factor for that person!

Thats really interesting scenario which certainly no one ever thought of. According to me the child should be told the truth so that he must try harder to acquire the zenith because.....
"Success is going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm"
