a movie as thrillin as it maybe never beats a book, no chance in hell
its a very simply deal, its all about appealing,visualization appeal more than vision
a movie is 3D, all clear rite in front of you, you do not need to visualize anythin
where as in books its all abt visualization

i recently experienced it with Da Vinci Code..

we have to quit watchin movies
(except the aamir khan ones)
There is also the fact that your own visualisation of something does not match up to whatever is shown on the movie, or the fact that movies gloss over a lot of points in the book which are rather important.
However, you do not sleep during all the movies unlike books(very personal an opinion!)
Reading a book in a closed room all your life isnt of much help either...
i agree if it's t case of godfather/fountainhead but disagree if it is jurrasic park...

I have read god-father, not seen it.
read fountainhead, not sure if there is a movie based on it.
have seen jurassic park, dint read the book.
n more importantly, I was not talkin about movies based on books.

moreover even i agree tht books r interesting 'coz they r more elaborate...but i feel tht u'r basis is wrong...
u read selected books but watch many movies...
u read classics but when it comes to movies u compare t ones made recently...
read every famous book released last year nd watch all famous movies nd then tell t difference..
moreover movies improve technically while book hav t same flavour for centuries...
check imdb if u don't know abt fountainhead movie
i do not enjoy movies at all these days.
